I realize I need to make up for not writing for ten-billion years, and when I do write it’s emo poems and weird haikus. Speaking of haikus, I have the response to someone who says they have a haiku and it’s not a haiku:
That’s not a haiku
You un-educated dolt
Crack a book dumbo
So it’s not that nice but it’s educational, right?

I decided to write a reveiw on the new Harry Potter movie that isn’t that new anymore:
The new Harry Potter movie, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince was more artistic and creative than the previous movies. What it lacked in plot and depth it made up for in surprising details and witty dialouge. The wands, the robes, and the special effects were amazing. The scene that was added was out of the blue and did not make any sense in the long run. Just like any attack during a war. People have been complaining about the light tone of this movie a lot. The darkness is still there, just hidden behind jokes and distractions. The ending is being complained about too but I thought it was great. There wasn’t a big battle at the end like in the book and there was no funeral. The lack of a battle or major confrontation left us wanting something a little more dramatic. The director might not have wanted to take away from the final battle that we know will be epically awesome. As for the funeral, I kind of wanted that final goodbye, but what was the point of a funeral? People sitting around talking about death? A minister standing there talking about the Dumbledore we all know and loved like he he was always serious, never weak or old mannish. Would we have wanted Ministry people sitting near teachers and family? Sitting there just because it would make them look good in the public eye. Dumbledore was Nitwit, Blubber, Oddment, and Tweak. He was Sherbet Lemon and Acid Pops. Not always stoic and noble. He was Mary Poppins not Mr. Banks. The soundtrack and creative liberty the director took has made a wonderful movie that will be acknowledged for years to come.
The ending of the movie was beautiful with Fawkes flying into a new day and the Trio standing together, ready to face the coming storm. Just as it should be.

In one of the Buffy the Vampire Slayer comics Buffy mentions that she gave girls meaning and a purpose by giving girls all over the world the ability and life of a Slayer*. By activating the power that rests within able girls all over the world she let them know that no matter what happens they will always have their fellow Slayers. At the time I read that I was a little confused by her logic. Ya, she gave all these girls a secure future, but in what? Every night they were fighting vampires and demons and all the forces of evil for what? Risking their lives and letting down their parents was a good thing? Then I went back and read and mostly reread all the comics and other things I could get my hands on.* I realized it was so much more than that. Buffy gave these girls a connection. They came from different backgrounds and different cultures. And they were all connected. There future was set. I was thinking this morning and felt empty. (Maybe it was the insomnia problems I’ve been having.) Despite my faith in God and the fact that I know he has something planned just for me, I felt as if my destiny was finish school, get a job, get married, have kids, raise them, eventually die. When I look at what’s (I think) expected of me, honestly, it sucks. That’s what Buffy was talking about. Who wants to be another face in the crowd? A nobody? Raise your hands. Didn’t think so. I now get what Buffy gave to those girls, a reason not to give up on themselves and the world. I can only pray that I will have that kind of hope and faith in myself.

A haiku about people who lie about their opinion of my poems and art.
Hate my words. at least
You’ll be listening. Please

I don’t know if it counts as a haiku.
