If it is a waste to dream
Then it is a waste to live
To love to Hope to laugh to smile
To think anyone cares

There are so many voices in the world
I am but one of them
I want to be heard for people to see
That I have a Heart I have a Soul
That there are colors in me you have not seen
on any color wheel

But that is selfish of me
Why should I think you care
I am not tall or fat or short or skinny
I didn’t ask to be me

These chains they press
Down on my chest
Chains of loss and sadness
Chains of guilt and hate
I’m beaten broken and abused
By my fear of Hope

Looking around what I see as a cell
I see a tiny flower a little purple bud
If all goes well it will grow and bloom
How nice it must be to have a purpose
For someone to wait just for you
even a bee

I give it some water and then I think
This little flower has a reason for living
So do I

Now I finally see it does no good
To ask for help from people just like me
