Camping

We went to a park to camp with my grandparents. It was fun.

It was raining really hard so we had to eat inside, instead of by a fire. We made s’mores in the microwave. My brother, Goro, who is 10 years old, called them summores and we had to correct him. They were good but lacked that camp-fire taste. After that we went down to the lake and fed a duck.

This is Birdie(8) and Goro with Grandma feeding the duck.

This is the duck leaving the dock.

This is me and Grandma. On a bench. Near the lake.
The next day we went on a walk all the way around the lake and there were sooo many bends that every time we turned a bend there was a new bend in the path.

Here are the rest of the pictures of the lake.

Well that’s it for this post. Thanks for reading.
Note: This is MamaRae adding an update/edit to Moggie’s post. The entire flickr set to her photos from the camping trip are here. You will need to add me (SmockLady) as a contact of yours and then let me know (email: SmockLady) you want Moggie to add you as a contact. Many of her photos will be marked for Family and Friends only (not publicly searchable). So you’ll need to be a contact to see her photos. Flickr is free.
Well, just remember, memories are memories even if they are rainy ones.
Ya, I know. We went wading at the beach when it stopped raining.
Looks like you had a lot of fun! Thanks for commenting on my blog too! Nice to meet you, I’m KT, I’m 13, but my birthday is in 5 days!
Have you ever tried s’mores in a pie mold? Of course, I grew up camping with my parents and siblings (Karen at Pediascribe is my sister) and we always had pie molds. Recently I did peanut butter and jelly and peanut butter and chocolate (like a reese’s)
And, sometimes the wet, rainy memories are the best…get out and play..run in the rain, get drenched!!! Slide down a hill in the mud!!! Of course, in old clothes!!!
No I have not had s’mores in a pie mold. Thanks for the idea.
